23rd July: Arrive at your Doveton House and settle in before the first Test. (view here)

24th July: Gameday! Steadfast Africa pre-match hospitality event at Chaf Pozi in Soweto, including a Shisa nyama braai (barbecue), selected drinks and live music and entertainment. Transport to and from the venue and match on a bus loaded with LION lager. (view here)

25th July: Johannesburg City Tour, explore the city of gold with Dlala nje.

26th July: Day at leisure, we’re available to make some activity and restaurant recommendations and suggestions: We can help you book a trip to the LION Park or a brewery tour etc.

27th July: Depart after breakfast by air-conditioned bus (3 hours) to Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway (all-inclusive 5-star big-5 safari), where you will spend the next few days on safari with two game drives per day, gourmet meals, drinks etc. (view here)

Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway, Welgevonden: 27th to 30th July

27th July: Arrive at the beautiful Clifftop Exclusive Safari hideaway in time for your afternoon game drive. Have a G&T in the middle of the African bush while you watch the sun go down. Even in winter, the days are hot and sunny and there will be plenty of time for cocktails by the pool in between the phenomenal game viewing safaris drives.

30th July: After your final early morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred by air-conditioned bus to Lanseria airport to make your afternoon flight to Cape Town.

Ocean Villa, Cape Town: 30th to 4th August

30th July: Arrive at Ocean Villa overlooking Camps Bay and take some time to settle in before the second Test. A chef will cook breakfasts and the villa will be stocked with some essentials (like beer, wine and biltong!) (view here)

31st July: Game day… We are hosting another Steadfast Africa pre-match event at the upmarket Den Anker restaurant at the V&A Waterfront. This event will be far more formal than the Soweto curtain-raiser, and will include a three-course steak lunch, fine wines and rugby guest speakers to set the tone. 1st August: Sunday – rest day.

2nd August: Optional LIONS’ head / Table Mountain hike with a knowledgeable guide. We are available to make any suggestions, bookings or recommendations. How about a helicopter or yacht trip or a fine-dining dinner experience with our favourite chef, Matt Manning.

3rd August: Peninsula tour day with Lucky & Lost where you will see the Cape of Good Hope, stop for a scenic picnic lunch and see the famous penguins on Boulders Beach. Experience a very South African picnic lunch and wine tasting end your day off with a sunset drive over scenic Chapman’s Peak (view here).

Mont d’Or, Franschhoek: 4th to 6th August

4th August: Mid-morning departure to the Winelands. Stopping off at Franschhoek Motor Museum (one of the best private collections of cars in the world, on perhaps the most beautiful wine estate in the world) (view here). A visit to Babylonstoren Wine Estate, where you can walk around the gardens, taste some more fine wines, visit at their shop or grab some lunch before heading on to Franschhoek, the jewel of the Winelands. 5th August: After breakfast at leisure, it’s all aboard the Franschhoek Wine Tram for a long boozy afternoon of wine tasting at the country’s top wine estates. The tram is the best way to do this, and individuals can hop on and off and enjoy each estate for as little or as long as they like. (view here)

6th August: The bus will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to the airport (45 minutes) to make your lunch-time flight to Johannesburg. Transfer to hotel (30 minutes).

Doveton House, Johannesburg: 6th to 8th August

6th August: Arrive at Doveton House, relax and enjoy an evening at leisure after a busy few days.

7th August: Gameday! You’ll be transferred to the Steadfast Africa pre-match hospitality event, with drinks and snacks at the Troyeville Hotel – an iconic Portuguese institution, 5 minutes walk from the stadium. Incredible atmosphere and a perfect place for beers after the game so as to not get stuck in traffic! Return transport provided post-match.
