Noordhoek Beachhouse has a spectacular setting by the beach and 180˚ uninterrupted sea views. This is the original classic! A white clapboard beach house sitting atop the dunes, often used for photo-shoots for its stylish interior design and breathtaking vistas of the ocean, Noordhoek Beach and Chapman’s Peak.
Its attractive, cool simplicity offers a truly comfortable way to get back to basics, enjoy a relaxed home-from-home and take a break from the noisy hustle-and-bustle of modern life. Ideal for a family or group of up to eight people, the tastefully designed interiors lead out to extensive silver grey hardwood decks and entertaining areas. Comfortable loungers and plenty of seating make soaking up the sun an all-day pleasure. The two outdoor showers are a welcome way to refresh yourself after walking on the beach, surfing the nearby breaks, riding one of the local horses or simply enjoying our lovely warm swimming pool. Noordhoek Beachhouse overlooks the Cape Nature Reserve, where horses ride past every morning on their way to exercise on the beach, protected birds nest in the indigenous vegetation, and the African sun can be watched sinking into the sea from the decks and balconies at the end of the day. There is also a peaceful, indigenous garden with a path leading directly to the white-sand beach and the surf beyond.
It is only three minutes walk to The Red Herring Trading Centre with its bars, cafes, craft brewery and fine Italian restaurant.

Noordhoek is Cape Town’s rural treasure, famed for its long white sandy beach, vast wetlands and ancient milkwood forest – near enough to the city but still a country village at heart. Long Beach, a massive 8km stretch of pristine white sand, stretches from the southern foot of Chapmans Peak (where a rocky outcrop looks down on a famous big wave surf spot. A few minutes walk away, next to Noordhoek common with its grazing horses and shady oaks, is the Noordhoek Farm Village where you can shop and browse or eat at several of Cape Town’s most popular restaurants.
In Noordhoek valley you can sample some of the best South African wines at the Cape Point Vineyard or drive 15 minutes through the Silvermine Nature Reserve and visit the world famous Constantia vineyards. Table Mountain is only a short drive further and next to it is Cape Town city centre with its world-renowned restaurants, shops, markets and vibrant nightlife.
Alternatively, take Chapmans Peak Drive (voted one of the worlds most scenic drives) from Noordhoek to the city along the beautiful Atlantic coast.
Heading south, the picturesque nearby villages of Simons town, Kalk Bay, Kommetje and Scarborough offer a huge range of shops, boutiques, activities and fantastic restaurants, cafes and coffee shops to suit all tastes and budgets. A further twenty minutes drive through the beautiful Cape Point Nature Reserve brings you to one of the southernmost tips of the African continent.
