What in your opinion are some of the most standout/impressive features about the property?
It is newly refurbished and the interior decorating is excellent. There’s also a waterhole in front of the lodge.

What is the service at the property like?
Very good. The team was friendly and attentive.

Tell us about the food…
This is one of the best food experiences that I have had on safari – the portions are realistic and the food is unpretentious and very flavourful.

How would you describe this property in a few sentences to someone wanting to book it?
This is a relaxing safari experience and perfect for seasoned travellers who don’t need to experience dramatic sightings twice a day – you come here to relax and sit on the deck and watch elephants come and go with their babies.

What activities are available to do there?
Gave viewing, gym, spa treatments, swimming.

Tell us about the journey to get to the destination – what are the logistics like in terms of travel time, transport etc?
It is a safe and easy self-drive option from Johannesburg (the journey is less than two hours). Alternatively you can fly in.

What do you recommend to a guest in terms of a minimum length of stay for this property?
I would recommend a minimum of three nights here.

What time of year would this property be at optimal enjoyment?
An ideal time to visit would be the period between December and February as it is summer and you can fully enjoy all the outdoor amenities.

What is unique about this property?
The couch safari – sitting by the active waterhole and watching hundreds of animals come and go is a huge perk.
