The space

Light and airy, open plan, contemporary design. High end finishes. Three bedrooms but one room has only a single bed. The property is right on the beach and has breath-taking views. Both bathrooms are equipped with a bath.

The hot tub has been converted into a small dip pool and no longer functions as a hot-tub. Nothing better than looking out at the beach whilst cooling off in the small dip pool. There is a pool cover should it be needed. Also the bonus of an outdoor shower for those balmy nights as well as direct beach access to Clifton 3rd beach from the bungalow.

Austin is our full time housekeeper. He lives on the property in a separate part of the property. He is there as much or as little as you need. He provides a light daily service, is there to help carry luggage and groceries up and down the stairs and provides some extra security.

Other things to note

Please be advised we are currently experiencing “Load shedding” across South Africa which is a schedule and continuous updates to interruption in electricity. We have provided back up power in this property to a certain extent but it is to be noted by the guest that the load shedding schedules and times change from day to day and some time at short notice. We cannot be held responsible for this and have provided a certain level of backup power in an attempt to alleviate the inconvenience caused. An application called ESKOM SE PUSH can be downloaded to access a schedule for the area in which you are staying.

This is an old school wooden beach bungalow, the interiors have been redone and it has all the amenities and luxuries but the exterior is a wooden cottage, which takes a beating from the sea air.

There is no secure parking, although it is usually easy to find parking and it is a safe area. Also, there are 100 stairs from the street and parking to the house, this is due to the fact that the bungalow is right on the beach! Austin, the house manager cum butler is always on hand to help carry any luggage or bags down to the bungalow and there are always car gaurds around that are more than happy to help too for a small tip.
